Boron trichloride, hazardous chemical. It is mainly used as a doping source for semiconductor silicon or as a catalyst for organic synthesis, and is also used for the preparation of high-purity boron or organic boron. Harmful to humans if inhaled, orally or absorbed through the skin. Can cause chemical burns. In addition, it is also harmful to the environment.
Use
It can be used to manufacture high-purity boron, catalyst for organic synthesis, flux for silicate decomposition, boronization of steel, doping source for semiconductor, and additive for deoxidizer, nitride and carbide in alloy refining. It can also be used to manufacture boron nitride and borane compounds.
